Gunjial is an ancient Malik tribe linked to agriculture. Wheat, sugarcane, rice, cotton and citrus fruits are the main growths. The area is very rich on minerals, salt, limestone and coal from the Salt Range. Farming of animals is another big source of income for the locals.
